Go The Distance
What is GTD? Go the Distance began as nothing more than a need. A need for a parent to take his interests as an extreme ultramarathon runner and make a difference. A need for a community to have something to rally behind to ensure the school budget issues that faced our state would not jeopardize a Physical Education program. The need has grown and so has GTD! This year GTD will bring all the schools in the District together to Go the Distance for our kids. How far would you go?
Purpose: To empower the Loomis Community to Go the Distance for kids in the community. To raise awareness about the positive impact health and fitness has on our kids. To raise funds for the Loomis Schools to help support future district wide programs.
Goal: To engage all the schools in the Loomis School District by making Go the Distance a Loomis District event. To positively impact all the schools in the Loomis District the same way Franklin was impacted in 2010. To BUILD Go the Distance for future years to come.
Message: Challenge the impossible! You are capable of more than you could ever imagine if your believe you can and are willing to put in the effort to succeed. You only fail when you quit trying.
